The NEW Check Pulse animation is buggy and causes issues with gameplay — and is less fun to use in social interactions.
- Prevents player from exchanging inventory items near each other, for holding X-button drops items in hands typically and when trying to drop items for another survivor, one goes into the Check Pulse Animation, thus making trading a nightmare
- Prevents survivors from easily entering vehicles while other survivors are sitting inside a car, because holding X-button enters the car to sit down — and has nearly got me killed when infected are rushing me and rather than getting inside the car I performed the Check Pulse animation numerous times. It’s extremely frustrating.
- The animation itself is weird, when survivors use it whilst standing it looks like they’re performing oral sex on the other survivor placing one’s face deep into another’s crotch and aiming their hands to the ground. The old animation raising one’s hand to touch the other survivor was much better. The only way the new animation makes sense is if the survivor’s pulse that’s being checked is lying on the ground.
For all these reasons we’d like the old animation to return and the button command to go back to tapping X-button rather than holding it because it risks survivor’s life dealing with cars and annoying when trading with others.
