Humvee gearbox not shifting gears down when it needs more power to climb a hill
Closed, DuplicatePublic

Description

When you are driving, the gears goes up normally considering the speed. If you slow down, in front of a hill and start to climb it, the auto gear should go to a lower gear so the vehicle get more power to climb that hill. and it doest happen. So you need to put to neutral, put to reverse,, go a little on reverse, switch back to neutral and then swith to drive and then the car gets power to start climbing the hill.

Steps To Reproduce

get the humvee to a hill
while climbing the hill let it reduce the velocity to stop it (de-acceletaring)
try to start climbing again - the car wont have power since the gear, even though is on D, does not uses a lower/stronger one.
switch to N and then switch to R
accelerate a little to make it moove reverse
put N and then D and then the car will start mooving in a lower gear and having power to climb the hill

sometimes this occurs also in normal roads with a little inclination. If you do a comparison with a real auto car, when you press the accelerator trigger all the way, the gearbox should start lowering the gears to get a stronger gear .
