It's been said that you not gonna concentrate on weapons that much this year as you did before, and that is OK (but don't give up on it completely. I mean the last year you were concentrated on weapons, at least it was one of your priorities, but still you released other things aswell). I just wan't to highlight the problems that game arsenal has atm (in my opinion ofc).
- Dead long range sniping. You can snipe within ~400-500m with .308/x54R , but once you cross that distance point the best you can do just knock the person down (if you're lucky ofc), in most of the times he(she) will only get some % of bullets damage + some shock amount, that isn't enough to knock him(her) down, and just will get away (hide or run away). So the only way you can get him(her) from afar (>500m) is to shoot in the head, which technically says "son, either you have to be a war veteran hardcore sniper and hit the head from more that 500m, or don't even think about of taking the sniper rifle ". I don't think cranking the calibers damage will solve it, as within 500m it will be even more lethal ( .308 can kill a player without armour in ~250-300m with a single bullet). So maybe the higher caliber (like .338), extremely rare ofc. Or have mercy and bring some other one-shot sniper, like M107 in Arma2 Dayz mod. Make it almost unusable within less that 200m (longer bullet reload time or something). Anyway, doesn't have to be the way I see it, but long range sniping needs to be brought back to life somehow.
- Lacking of a marksman rifle with a rail mount for optic to cover 300-800m range in sniping (like SR25 or M110 or m16 with picatinny rail)
- No heavy weapons. I mean we already have almost complete variety of weapons like pistols, smg's, shotguns, semi auto shotguns, carabines, assault rifles, hunting sniper rifles, even 40mm launcher and mines/claymores/explosives. Special thanks for the last ones, these open so much more scenarions for gunfights, and I know we could have not seen those at all in the first place, so yea, it is great. But if we have all that, why give up on machineguns? I mean we already crossed the line with m79, and if somebody told me then that "hey, they gonna release M79 this update", I would call that person crazy, 'cause I don't think that anybody thought that you would break not even the last line, but the line behind that line.
- Minor weapons bugs (like M79 unloades complete unused round, AUG prone anim issue, Izh18 bullet, Scout scope, SKS in the air round and some others).
Anyway, this may only be the way that I see it, If enybody of you have other visions that is great, feel free to add the stuff that you'd like to see or to be changed/tweaked.
