I placed a gas stove on the ground with a frying pan attached. I cooked 3 pan-fulls of meat. I then switched off the stove. The burner sound carried on playing. I placed the stove back in my inventory. The burner stove continued to sound from where the stove had originally been placed.

After logging out and back in again, the sound had stopped.
