So I found a Pristine pair of assault boots yesterday at the Cherno Evac Site, and placed them in my inventory until the footwear I was wearing became ruined. So the shoes wear out, I strap on the assault boots, play for about another 15-30 minutes and log out with said boots still in Pristine condition. Well I logged back into the server I was playing on about an hour ago then lo and behold, the previously pair of Pristine assault boots are in Damaged Condition
