Holstered Pistol Inventory Swap Bug
Closed, DuplicatePublic

Description

Prerequisites:

  • The player has a holstered pistol that is on the hotbar
  • The player has another item (usually a weapon like a bigger gun or a 2-handed melee) on the hotbar
  • The "another item" is not a shouldered item (it is in the player's inventory)

Summary: Holstered pistols can replace another item's inventory slot instead of going back into the holster the pistol was removed from, which then does not allow for the other item to be placed back into the inventory position it was removed from.

Steps To Reproduce

Steps to Recreate:

  1. Use the hotbar keybind to pull out an item bigger than the holstered pistol (like a larger gun or a 1 handed melee)
  2. Use the hotbar keybind to pull out the holstered pistol
  3. Use the hotbar keybind to pull out the same item from step 1
  4. Open your inventory
  5. Observe that the holstered pistol is now taking up the inventory position that the item from step 1 used to occupy
Additional Information

Expected Results: When using a hotbar keybind to put an item from the player's hands to their inventory, that item should go back into the same inventory position it was taken out from.
