Windowed mode, with antialiasing turned ON makes picture progressively darker
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

using multiple monitors for streaming purposes. newest AMD drivers as of 1/17/23, radeon 6800 XT

when turning ON the antialiasing settings in the DayZ video menu, for WINDOWED MODE ONLY, the gamma turns down for each time you set the AA to a higher level. so with it off, the gamma is normal. low, the picture gets darker. medium, even darker, high, it is unplayable due to how dark it gets. this happens both in-game and in the character screen.

Additional Information

playing in FULLSCREEN mode is HORRIBLE when trying to use multiple monitors.

also, my previous video card was a 6700 XT on the same drivers, this did NOT have the issue. and the card before that was a GTX 1080, also did NOT have this issue. this is the only game that glitches like this.

i have seen others speak of this exact issue on other AMD 6000-series cards, on different drivers.

Event Timeline

UPDATE:

i uninstalled the AMD Adrenaline software and only installed the DRIVER and it appears to run normally now. the gamma does NOT fluctuate when in WINDOWED mode with the AA turned on. so evidently the issue lies in the adrenaline software or settings.
