Description

Hello Dear Bohemia Team,

since my new Rig, im having issues playing Dayz.

It keeps crashing after some time, sometimes more often then other times. E.g. i can play nearly a whole day without any issues, sometimes it Crashes after ervery 10 min.

It doesent matter if i play vanilla or modded both version are affected.

My Rig:

Ryzen 7 5800x
RTX 3080
16 gb´s of ram
game is installed on an ssd.

Things i have already tried:

Reinstalling game and mods
Copying files from exp dayz to normal dayz folder
verfied files
tried 2 launch game in bulldozer mode, doesent boot up, shows message: Status access violation.
deleted my dayz config datas (maybe Corrupted)

Nothing really fixed it.

Please help.

Hello Tobido.
These are the correct files, however, it appears these are unrelated to the problem you are having, as these seem to have appeared when the game was being closed. These crash dump files will not help us to figure out why your game crashes while playing. If you experience the crash again, can you please click on "Show and prepare report" and then upload the generated archive to this ticket?

After performing an update on my graphics drivers im getting some graphical error, i provided the Report log.
After i did a DDU reinstall i could play for the rest of the day, with no issues.
The next day i startet 2 get could not init dxgi error message, without changing anyhting.

Hello Tobido.
One of the crash dumps points towards an issue with nvwgf2umx.dll file, which means you have a corrupted or faulty instalation of your video drivers. Please try to do a clean install of your video drivers and also make sure there are no other corrupted files/installations in your OS.

which crash file in particular, becaus right now i am only getting status application hang fault no dxgi faults. I did perform a DDU and a reinstallation of OS. I only need 2 know why the error Status application hang appears. Can u look into that?

Hello Tobido.
If you are running the game with any launch parameters, please remove them and try to launch the game without any parameters. If the game still crashes without any parameters, please send us latest crash dump files.

Hello Tobido.
Some of the crash dumps point towards nvwgf2umx.dll, which means your Nvidia drivers are probably corrupted. We suggest that you do a clean install of your GPU drivers and also do a windows scan for any other corrupted files and installations.

Hello Tobido.
The latest files you have provided contain only RPT files, no crash dumps, so there is nothing that could lead us towards the cause. The RPT files do not show anything wrong.

The .mdmp file in this log is from 28 december, which is one of the dumps we have seen previously.
We require a dump file from the most recent occurrence of the problem. Ideally after it occurs for you.

Hello Geez, this is the most recent crash which happened 1 min after i joined a normal server, in case u need any other files let me know

Does the game freeze rather than crash by any chance? And do you turn it off through task manager if so?

the game freezes first and then the screen goes white (because the game hung), the only thing i can do then is 2 close it via task manager or click on close application

Hello Tobido.
Therefore the game does not crash but freeze, which is two separate problems with different approaches. Game freezing does not produce any crash dump files (since it does not crash) which would help us finding the cause.

Have you tried to do a clean install of all the software drivers on your computer and run scannow to find if there are any corrupted files on your system? Also have you tried disabling all programs on your computer besides DayZ to make sure there isnt some issue with your software interacting with the game? (overlay programs, rivatuner and similar)

it seems there is a problem with the dayz config, i tried this fix:

Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata*YourID*
In there, you have the following folders 221100 for stable client 1024020 for experimental If you are experiencing this problem with the stable client, then delete the whole 221100 folder. Verify the game data through Steam and delete the configuration files when prompted to do so (Make sure Steam Cloud Sync is disabled prior to doing this)"

Thanks again to all the guys who replied with advice and tips.

It still crashes but not as much as it used to.

I have disabled all know to me overlays, but still no help.

Can i provide any other info so u can help me better?

Hello Tobido.
Please try to delete the C:\Users\*username*\Documents\DayZ folder completely, make sure steam cloud sync is disabled and relaunch the game. If that does not work, try to copy over files from your C:\Users\*username*\Documents\DayZ Exp folder to the C:\Users\*username*\Documents\DayZ folder.

Sadly non of these steps worked

was able 2 play for 4 weeks no issues, now the game proceedes 2 crash again after every 5 min
