Crash with Thrustmaster joystick connected
New, NormalPublic

Description

I have a Thrustmaster "Top Gun Afterburner Force Feedback" joystick/throttle unit. If the joystick is plugged in when Arma starts, it crashes with "Exit code: 0xc0000005 - STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION." If I unplug the joystick Arma launches just fine, but if I plug the joystick in after Arma is running, it crashes in the same way a few seconds later.

I haven't loaded any drivers or joystick utilities. Windows 10's game controller utility shows that all functions of the joystick are operational. I've tried the joystick on two different PCs running Arma and both produce the same crash. I'm launching plain vanilla Arma with all mods disabled. A log file is attached below.

It seems something called "PID_*" is causing the issue.
This isnt part of arma so there is nothing we can do.

Yes, this seems to be a problem with Windows 10 (and maybe earlier versions). This joystick also crashes other flight games like Star Wars Squadrons. I got a newer joystick, also a Thrustmaster, which works fine in Arma and all other games I've tested.
