Description

Conflict Suggested Improvements:

  1. AI are way too over powered (e.g. getting one shot killed from 300m in pouring rain!) it’s immersive to be be suppressed and have to react, but its hugely frustrating to be constantly instantly killed at distance by enemies you can’t even see. This is especially bad when you've spend a lot of effort transporting supplies for the team
  2. Night is very difficult to operate in. I suggest providing illumninaion flares to the inventory (similar to SOG Prairie Fire in Arma 3). This would be very helpful at night and it would also be extremely cool and atmospheric!
  3. US helmets have strips on the back that glow in the dark (introduced in the 0.9.6 update) and makes them highly visible from quite a distance. This is quite unfair to US players at night. I would suggest to revert to the previous helmet by removing this aspect.
  4. Player kick vote doesn’t seem to work now or its too hard to achieve since the 0.9.6 update. Team killing trolls seem impossible to get rid of now. This seemed to work well automatically previously - please bring this back!
  5. Conflict game end screen should last longer (say 20 or 30 seconds) - this would allow some post game player chat (similar to KOTH). Currently the end game screen is only about 5 secs, which is barely time to type more than “gg” if you hurry. Players like to talk a bit after a good game, especially if you've made a connection with someone new
  6. Server restarts need to be communicated to the player base via a 1 minute warning message
  7. Ability to “look over the top” of mounted machines guns (e.g. 0.50cal on Humvee) as sighting when firing (i.e. not "free look"). The view through the 0.50 cal sights is far too constricted to be useful. Maybe use the “alternative sight” button for this (e.g. ctrl-right mouse button). This replicates how these weapons would often used in real life.
  8. Ability to “rotate the player" when in map view which would align the compass needle on the map - this would make orientation easier. E.g. if I am facing north, then open the map, I can "rotate" the compass needle on the map (suggest using Q and E keys) to point the player in the direction required (say somewhere in a south-west direction) while still in map view mode. When the map is closed, the player's orientation has also shifted to that direction. This is the sort of thing you would do in real life
  9. Countdown timer on mobile spawn radio stops after 10 secs which potentially causes confusion - I suggest this time remains until reaching 0
  10. AI at bases bunch up, reducing the value if building barracks - AI should patrol the base or at least walk around a little and spread out
  11. Med kits should auto stock in inventory preset like grenades do
  12. Radios at main base buildings are very limited but should be unlimited like at smaller base Comms tents
  13. "Tasks" icon on map obscures base icon which means you cant see available services, etc

Conflict Bugs:

  1. Smoke grenades act like a “hard object” causing an impassible collision for vehicles
  2. AI spawn bug frequently prevents base capture (e.g. at Morton)
  3. Some Armoury locations need to be crawled into to use them
  4. “Handbrake bug” in vehicles when starting to move off

Conflict team communication problems:

  1. Enemy often use the radio to spam platoon channel with constant noise or music
  2. Text chat defaults to "global" (it should default to “side”)
  3. “Atmospheric” radio commentary from "command" (e.g. “we are losing the initiative”, etc) causes unnecessary “audio clutter” which adds no value but interrupts players trying to communicate to each other. So many times I've been in the middle of trying to say something to a team-mate and I have to stop because "we're losing the initiative", or something comes over the radio which you can't talk over). I suggest these comms messages be pared back to bare minimum.
  4. It can be difficult to hear team mates over the sound of vehicle engines. Please provide earplug functionality
  5. For radio comms on PC, pressing "CNTL" then "t" keys works, but "t" then "CNTL" does NOT work - the message of "platoon channel" appears for a second then goes off in this case. Really annoying!
  6. Radios now default to Platoon frequency which creates a huge amount of radio "clutter"
