In the current patch there are functional models of painted guns and attachments in the game, such as m4, mosin, aks, m70, blaze, and even more. The ideia is to implement them into the loot economy, spawning them at the new bunker (like the new plate carrier variants) and the helicrashs. It would definatly bring some dynamism into the game without having to work on the paint mechanic.
