M16-A2 is a very decent rifle, and when you attach the silencer it becomes even better. As you know, IRL Acog optic can be attached to the carry handle. Dayz has acogs model visually already combined with picatinny rail adapter. I'd suggest you to add possibility to mount smaller acog (4x, with yellow crossing) on top of M16s carry handle. You have everything ready to do it, just edit a little ACOG p3d (cut that picatinny rail adapter). And you can add a recipe, "picatinny rail adapter + adapterless acog = normal acog (via screwdriver)". You also can not to bother about that adapter spawn table, just keep spawning normal acog as it is, and if players will need adapterless acog for M16 - they will just use the screwdriver. This feature and definitely will bring more interest for M16. This rifle without acog sits almost on the top of mid tier. This rifle + acog = very decent semi-auto marksman rifle (almost like LAR+acog, but with a smaller caliber), that is already lower top tier. It's realistic, and I think the idea is good. Don't make it for x6 acog, x4 only will be enough. As you know M4 also has a possibility to mount a carry handle, you can add a proxy for adapterless acog there too, but also can leave it as it is for M4, it already has a possibility to mount both of acogs. And please don't say that will ruin the balance, it won't, only will bring your weapon ecosystem even higher. Have a nice day.
