Incorrect Targeting in Melee Lock on Range
Awaiting internal Testing, NormalPublic

Description

Hello. In the DayZ Experimental 1.19 branch, there exists a bug where your melee attacks land at the body part you initiate the attack with rather than the one you are aiming at when it lands when in the melee lock on range.

Steps To Reproduce
  1. Be inside of the melee lock on range of a player/zombie
  2. Aim at any body part on the player/zombie
  3. Swing then look at another body part separate from the one you were looking at
  4. Observe that the attack lands at the body part you initiated the attack with rather than the one you are looking at when it lands
Additional Information

-This bug adds major inconsistencies when hitting players and zombies when in the melee lock on range. The body part you initiate a swing with may not correspond with the body part you are aiming for, making damage seem random when in the melee lock on range.

-This bug only occurs when inside the melee lock on range. Melee attacks land on the intended body part when the lock on is not active.
