when I turn my hardware anti aliasing up in game to 4x or higher my fps drops to 10 unless I turn it back down

turn the anti aliasing setting to 4x or higher, not exactly sure if there is another factor that could be causing this issue when changing the setting
Specs: Ryzen 7 5800x, 16 gig DDR4 Ram, RTX 3070TI, game installed on an SSD
