My friends were trying to import a preset into Arma 3, but when downloading the file from discord, the file only opened in the browser and never actually downloaded to the computer. This also happened when trying to import the file from google drive, as the file only opened in the browser and never downloaded into the computer.

Your downloading an HTML file which automatically opens in browser if you try to open it.
Try right clicking the file and choosing save as/download or once your on the page press CTRL+S or right click to save the page.
