Abnormally fast disappearance of the car
New, NormalPublic

Description

The car with the damaged engine disappeared in less than 10 minutes. This is simply unrealistic and does not allow the player to even save their loot in case of encountering this problem.
I was driving a Niva car, but the car skidded into the water next to the road. After less than 5 seconds in the water, the engine was destroyed. The character got wet and I ran about 700 meters to the nearest house to warm up and throw my loot out of my backpack there to make room for things from the trunk of the car.
I got back in less than 10 minutes, but the car just disappeared, along with everything in the trunk.
Please reconsider the lifetime of the destroyed car on the server in the direction of increasing

  1. Destroy the car's engine by drowning it in water
  2. Leave the car for 10 minutes, running some distance from it
Additional Information

I know things in the game have a lifetime, but that's just not realistic. I could understand if the car was destroyed by gunfire or a grenade (let's say the car exploded and disappeared). But the car was just standing half in the water next to the shore.
Also, I would understand even if the server was full and under load, which would lead to a decrease in the lifetime of items. But there were only 2 players on the server.

Event Timeline

@superjail54 I agree, that there should be some way for the loot to be safe. Perhaps it could be made so that the items will be dropped on the ground, as is the case with tents or other storage being destroyed. The items will then stay on the ground at least 4 hours, given the current minimum lifetime values of items.

In the meantime however, I would suggest to you, to drag all the loot out of your ruined car. That will ensure for it to lay there, like I mentioned, at least 4 hours.
