Description

A Joint Constraint is a special constraint that is not present in Arma 3. This request asks that Arma receive a joint constraint in two forms and one optional form.

Forms:

  1. Hinge joint (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Revolute_joint)
  2. Ball-and-Socket joint (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ball_joint)

Optional Forms:

  1. generic six-DoF joint

Reasoning for feature request:

While attempting to create a M1070 with trailer unit I realized that there is not joint phys in Arma, meaning that my joint would have to be created with a ball and hole method in the geo LOD which might fight with the engine all the time tanking performance. Towed Artillery, towed trailers, and or towed equipment cannot currently be created without fighting the engine, one only option that works is the ball and hole method with Geo LOD, but that is hard to get right. Therefore I would like to request a Joint Constraint.
