Game refuses to launch; potential memory leak
Need More Info, NormalPublic

Description

The game was running fine; joining a local server I created, etc.
Quite abruptly, the game now refuses to launch out of the launcher. I click 'play' (I removed all mods,) and the RAM usage spikes to 99% (out of 16gb installed and a 12gb pagefile) and it causes both the Dayz Process, Dayz Launcher Process, and Steam to abruptly crash to desktop. In prior tests, I got a 'out of memory' crash error which has since vanished.

Steps taken: I have since re-installed the game after wiping the description files in Appdata and Documents (both on the same drive and on a separate, SSD), verified the game files, along with trying to run the process in Administrator mode. Game simply refuses to launch (black screen appears) and may have a memory leak as of 8/8/2021.

On forcing the process to close, the error is as follows:
"Exit Code 0x00000001-UNABLE_TO-iNIT_DXGI"

I have ensured graphics card drivers are up to date.

I would appreciate any help in this matter.

Additional Information

*Update* On running the 'Bulldoze' parameter, closing the game and then starting it again, that seems to have solved the issue.

Hello Daedric736.
Please try the following:

Verify the game data through Steam and delete the configuration files when prompted to do so (make sure Steam cloud sync is disabled for DayZ before doing this) - you can also delete the config files manually by clearing the C:\Users\*username*\Documents\DayZ folder

Open the DayZ launcher
Select PARAMETERS menu
Select ALL PARAMETERS tab
scroll down and check "Bulldozer" parameter
Launch the game
Once launched, close the game
Uncheck bulldozer
Launch the game again without any parameters

Regards,
Geez
