M3s Trucks damage on 1.13
Need More Info, UrgentPublic

Description

We have a couple of PVP and PVE servers where all existing player owned M3s trucks have damaged fuel tank since the 1.13 update, damage does range from badly to ruined.

They also have either damaged front or side windows on all trucks.

It’s rendered the trucks pretty much useless. Even spawning in trucks once found are showing the same damage on the fuel tanks and windows.

Any advise if not going to be in upcoming horfix?, I’m capable of editing the xml just don’t want to until knowing more around if a hot fix is going to be applied

Thanks in advance for any information offered

Hello Th3steg.
Are you working with a storage that has been present since the 1.12 version and were the affected trucks part of the storage on 1.12 version before moving onto the 1.13?
As this issue might be related to the changes and as it has been recommended, the storages should have been wiped with the 1.13 release.
Regards,
Geez

Hi Geez The issue was only present when we updated to 1.13, prior to this the player owned trucks where fine, but on updating to 1.13 all had damaged fuel and windows as described.

We run a PVE server so not looking to wipe as players have invested time into their builds for a long time.

When you say storage are you saying as in the server storage or trucks own storage. Just for clarification.

I’m also seeing a lot of people in these forums reporting the same bug, Damaged fuel tanks on trucks since 1.13 update.

Thanks for your support on this.

Hello Th3steg.
We do mean the whole server storage. We did not notice this behaviour on the wiped servers so far. So it seems this issue might be exclusive to the servers that did not wipe - which was optional but it was recommended by us as such problems could arise due to the differences between the game versions.

Hi Geez

Thanks for the reply, but 1.13 via upgrade from Nitrado and also reset XML files we are not running any mods. So it's as close to the original game as it can be.

So is now the expectation that RP and PVE community servers have to totally wipe and start again to fix the trucks, losing all base builds, etc. seems rather counter-productive to what Dayz is at the core.

I am aware we can alter the XML to reset the vehicles and have members go and refind them, but cCan this be escalated in any way as the community servers are growing with complaints around the trucks fuel tanks being broken and we are struggling to retain members to play dayz who are seeing this as a bad upgrade?, for your information, we are a gaming community of over 5k members so we not in any way a small group of people playing a game or two.

Thank you

Hello Th3steg.
While we agree that this is an ideal situation and we apologise for any inconveniences this has caused, if this is related to the vehicles that have been present in the storage since 1.12, then it is possible that there is nothing that can be done. We will however try to check if it could be fixed in any way.
You could try to back up your Storage with the current vehicles and try to reset the vehicles to see if the problems persist on the new ones too.

Geez
