Series X overheating since 1.13
Need More Info, UrgentPublic

Description

Not much to describe other than the title. Since the latest update the Series X is getting really hot to the point that the game will crash and the console will shut down. Others I have spoken to are experiencing this and it doesn't do this on any other game.

People have theorised that it's down to rendering but I'm not a tech expert so I don't know...

Hello dootsydora.
After how long do you seem to start experiencing the issue? (For example, always after an hour).
Regards,
Geez

Hi Geez,

The fan goes to 100% as soon as the game is loaded up which causes the console to start heating up. So it instantly starts heating up and can take around 3 hours to crash.

Thanks,
Dootsy

Xbox Series X? I'm playing on Series X and haven't experienced this issue so far. Yesterday I had a crash (to the dashboard) after a couple hours of gameplay but this also happened prior to 1.13 with DayZ.

Are you guys playing in 4k@120Hz (HDMI 2.1) resolution? I'm playing at 1440p@120Hz (HDMI 2.0).
