Grenades bounce too much?
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

I've never thrown a grenade so I've no clue if they are supposed to bounce as much as they seem to in the CDLC. Grenades in ARMA are pretty decent at landing generally where you throw them but I feel like when I throw grenades they bounce 50 feet away and totally off target.

Hey neuromancer, would you mind testing which grenades this happens to and how they compare to default Arma grenades?

Hi there, I gave it a few tries in the editor, throwing vanilla M67s vs the CDLC M61s and M67s and every time the CDLC grenades threw further, bounced higher, and bounced further. it can fly off target by about 10m. It might not sound like much but throwing grenades does require a bit of precision and it can make a big difference between killing bad guys and just wounding em.

heres a short video of me throwing first the vanilla m67, and the 2 CDLC grenades. notice how the vanilla M67 lands generally where I'm targeting, and the other 2 grenades are quite off the mark and how the vanilla M67 barely bounces at all while the M61 and M67 bounce very high and/or very far. From what I saw, the vanilla M67s never went further than 32m while the CDLC grenades went as far as 40-45m. Its a bit difficult to notice due to how grainy video is but if you try this yourself in the VR map I think you'll notice the difference as well.

its most noticeable how short the vanilla M67 falls after I throw the CDLC M61 and M67, and than throw the vanilla M67, so try watching at around :11 seconds for one example
