M14 Toe Popper does minimal damage.
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

The M14 Toe Popper mine does a miniscule amount of damage, meaning that it is almost pointless to carry when compared to the M16 AP mines or M18 Claymores, when it should be a vital tool for any patrol in the jungle. The mine works just fine (though the explosion effect seems very large for such a small device) apart from it doing only a tiny amount of damage, so little in fact that it doesn't seem to trip the AI's combat mode, meaning that they are capable of walking through an entire minefield of the things without batting an eyelid.

From what I hear (interestingly enough from John "Tilt" Stryker-Meyer) the M14 was capable of mangling the lower leg of anybody unlucky enough to step on them, so perhaps it should do just enough damage to force a victim to limp until they receive medical attention.

I agree. In reality the mines were capable of dispatching soldiers easily, though not outright killing them. The current toe poppers barely scratch whoever stepped on them. Even if you lie down on one, it doesn't do anything.
