Dayz 1.12 Experimental Update Opinion
New, NormalPublic

Description

Overall, I like the new update with the added foods, weapons, and zombie awareness. However, I don't think the melee system needed to be changed from the 1.11 update. I thought the melee system was very good in 1.11 from the fists all the way up to the sledge hammer, and it was very realistic as well. The zombies and human players reacted very well when being hit with a shovel, sledge hammer, lead pipe, knives, and other melee so please do not change the melee system because I think other players will need the realistic melee from update 1.11 to deal with the more highly aware zombies in the 1.12 update. Also, I think that it would kind of defeat the purpose of having a realism with very life like ballistics in the game, but then have to deal with an arcade like melee system where the zombies do not get staggered when getting hit. Logical reasoning and physics should also be applied in the melee system. In real life you can take a couple small pumpkins as an example to resemble a zombies head and hit them both with a hunting knife and a sledge hammer and see what does more damage every single time? Also, I probably wouldn't mind the melee being nerfed as much as long as we are still able to stagger the zombies no matter what the weapon is because in real life if you hit an object with another object it will cause a physical reaction no matter what the object are. In the game a zombie is hit with an object and sometimes there will be no reaction of it being hit like it was never hit and continue to maul you which is unrealistic. So in my opinion please keep the stagger affect on the zombies. Thanks.
