Description

Animals and infected seem to have unexpected behavior with the new targeting conditional on EntityAI. Throwing items seems to cause animals and infected to stay targeted to thrown items, even if they're no longer simulated.

  1. Throw item near infected or animals that are already in an agitated state
  2. Move somewhere where the animal or infected will lose interest in you
Additional Information

Here's a video for example, this is vanilla with Community Framework and Community Online Tools installed, no additional modifications, tested on a local server environment. ESP was used to show that there were items on the ground.

There have been changes in the AI that should improve this behaviour and the changes will appear in one of the future updates.
