Currently, the A-149 Gryphon's targeting/pilot camera is only capable of 90° depression (cannot look down & rearward at all) and 120° left & right traverse. This significantly restrictive field of regard ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Field_of_regard ) means that the camera is very difficult to use, especially when trying to self-lase for laser guided bomb strikes.
Not only is this an issue of functionality, but it is also not realistic. The A-149 Gryphon's targeting pod seems to resemble the real-life LITENING pod. In real-life, the LITENING pod has a field of regard significantly greater than what is currently depicted for the Gryphon. After a little research, it seems the LITENING pod's camera should be capable of 150° depression and traverse ( https://defense-update.com/20020708_litening-targeting-pod.html ).
