If you unpin a grenade and put it into a barrel all grenades found later will immediately explode in your inventory if you don't take it in your hand and pin it.
This only happens to grenades spawned in the area not by the player.

I only tried this with the barrel. I don't know if it works with wooden crate's or sea chests. I'm not quit sure if this not happens if you play full Vanilla but CF and COT probably don't have any impact on this.
