Crash when spawning a GM vehicle
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Lately, when I tried to load in a Global Mobilization vehicle in Virtual Arsenal or Editor, the game freezes for a bit, crashes, and gives me an error with "0x0000005 status_access_violation". I thought at first it was a mod issue, but it still happened with no mods on. As far as I'm aware, it doesn't happen vehicles from the base game or any other DLC, and it doesn't always happen with the same vehicle every time.

Here's a link to the crash report: Crash Report

The crashdump doesn't make sense.
It crashed while loading "gm\\gm_core\\gm_core_vehicles\\data\\systems\\vehiclemarkings\\fonts\\gc_schablonier\\gry\\9_ca.paa".
You can probably fix this by starting your game with -exThreads=0, but I don't know what's causing it, maybe some RAM issues?

Will there be any performance changes?

I launched with -exThreads=0 and that seems to have fixed it. However, I'm now having a problem where the game freezes when loading into the main menu.

I also Ran Windows Mem Diagnostics and there were no errors.

I think this issue should be closed. I've been chatting in the Global Mobilization discord and it seems it's a texture related issue with no real way of fixing it it. Thanks for the help though.

I found a workaround. If i turn textures down to Very High, the crashes stop.
