Hey, i have an DayZ modded server and im now building my base (vanilla) and it allowed me to make a complete gate with the codelock mod and i tried to make the wall next to it
with the fence kit to complete my base entrance and it allowed me to put 2 logs and when i tried to make the lower and upper frames it only allowed me to construct the platform.
For curiosity, i constructed it with no frames or walls and then dismantled it to try build the frames and didn't work. Then i gave up and went make the back of the base and i made a full wall with no problem and then i started to make the wall next to it and it only allowed me to attach the 2 wooden logs, i put the materials and i can't build anything.

Hello burzum.
There is possibly something preventing you from building the walls as they would clip - this does not present the building of the base gate (the two wooden logs). Can you provide us with a screenshot possibly?
