Every time I start DayZ, the menu loads up, and after hitting PLAY (or join a particular server) it appears to be loading. The screen goes black and after 10-20 seconds, freezes the computer and can only be stopped with a hard reset, holding the power button in. I have tried verifying files (multiple times), deleting and reinstalling, turning off overlays, etc...
nothing works. every time I launch DayZ, it freezes my computer and the only remedy is to hard reset the PC.
Launch DayZ. It ALWAYS freezes the PC.
It was working like a dream just a few days ago,. 1.10. The new Nvidia drivers had been downloaded, but not installed when the first freeze occurred. I installed the drivers hoping it would make a difference but it did not.

Please try the following:
Verify the game data through Steam and delete the configuration files when prompted to do so (make sure Steam cloud sync is disabled for DayZ before doing this) // you can also delete the config files manually by deleting the DayZ folder located in your documents.
Open the DayZ launcher
Select PARAMETERS menu
Select ALL PARAMETERS tab
scroll down and check "Bulldozer" parameter
Launch the game
Once launched, close the game
Uncheck bulldozer
Launch the game again without any parameters
