Game Keeps Crashing on PC
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Currently, game is unplayable.
I downloaded Livonia and it started crashing the main game.

All of a sudden DayZ Stand alone crashes everytime I load into the game and graphics starts loading in.
Even on the main screen, the graphics (i.e. trees/houses/landscape) loads up, then shortly after the game hangs and crashes. I've tried reinstalling my graphics card, rolling back nvidia graphics to July drivers, and still it keeps crashing.
I've reinstalled the entire game 3-4 times. It works, but the moment I turn the graphics up slightly, it hangs and crashes.

See attached crash reports.

Additional information: I've safe mode reinstalled graphics drivers for my gtx 2080.
I've also tried hard uninstalling graphics from Device managers and safe mode reinstall of graphics drivers, still no go.
All other games work with no problems. Only DayZ is crashing.

I've also removed all mods and ran the game stand alone. It seems to only affect the game when graphics are turned up from low, but haven't determined which settings is causing the problem.

Another report generated from a recent crash.

Upon crashing, the game tends to have artifacts as shown on the uploaded photo.

Update: Game works without crashing when playing in "Poor" graphics, but proceeds to freeze/crash again if the game is closed and reopened the second time. See attached log for details.

Game was working fine in "poor" graphics mode. Now its crashing again after a game restart.

[Solved] Found out that it was due to the MSI Afterburner overclocking of my graphics card... Disregard. Problem has been solved and it no longer crashes. 8 hours later...
