So I haven't played DayZ in a few months. Probably half a year actually. Me and my friends wanted to hop back into a vanilla server. I reinstall the game through Steam. Go to the launcher, press play. I'm on a loading screen, gets about 80% of the way done loading BAM crashes. I get access violation code, I have the file saved for the trouble shooting report/crash report I have no idea what's wrong. Looked for solutions found nothing. I don't have a top notch PC at all its fairly old, however I play games on a daily basis from Hunt Showdown to Total War games. Total War Warhammer being a new game I can still run it on medium graphics settings. My PC was built in 2008 haven't installed much else aside from a step up from what I had graphics card. I only have this issue with DayZ I can load everything else fine. Its only DayZ.

Hello GRIMXRedneckX.
Please try the following:
Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\*YourID*\
In there, you have the following folders
221100 for stable client
1024020 for experimental
Delete the whole 221100 folder.
Verify the game data through Steam and delete the configuration files when prompted to do so (Make sure Steam Cloud Sync is disabled prior to doing this)
Regards,
Geez
