Description

Hello guys i am Jamie i play dayz on console , i help run a private server , anyways on to the bug report..

so after update and wipe i joined the community server i help run , we then goto starting to build after gathering the collective supplies for a fence kit, we then went into the nearest building green moustache building and tried to place the fence kit near the door as per usual, #

but we noticed straight away we could not place it on the second floor in the building, we then thought it could be a desync bug so we relogged and moved to a new building and the same happened again... it seems we cannot build in any building or apartment in the game .

i have screenshot the houses we tried and screenshot the fence kit too

Steps To Reproduce

we tried variant houses and the steps i took was the same relog try again in all the houses

double red house allows you to build upstairs but not downstairs

double green wont allow building upstairs at all

piano building will allow downstairs but not upstairs

Hello mightyraideruk.
The restrictions on where you can build a wall are much stricter currently to prevent any clipping with nearby objects. Therefore it is possible that you are not able to build fences in places where you would be able to build them in previous versions.

Ok but is this going to change, because this has restricted console even further now , first we cant have the build anywhere on console we cannot build in apartments or houses this is put a disadvantage to building even more and is a pretty major part of any server I help run a server and literally everyone has complained about not being able to build..

I came across this also so built around a building. 1 week and it was raided of every single item I’d collected On ps4 Not sure what to do now. Kinda ruined it for me. Feel deflated after all my efforts. They didn’t leave me a single item. Harsh world

Also can't build out in the open on grass anymore. Placing 1 watchtower kit can be done, if you find the exact spot that will allow it , however it's impossible to find an area that will allow multiple towers in a row. 1.14 base building issues have ruined this game for me. It's bad enough that you can't build an unreadable base but now you can't even build in a remote location. On the verge of shutting down my server and being done with dayz.
