Win10_ DayZ Launch Error

Description

I am running DayZ on a Win10 PC on Steam and receive the following error when trying to launch (TBC my other Steam games launch properly). I receive the following error:

I have removed all C++ redistributables as indicated on some Steam forums and reinstalled the 2005 and 2015-2019 C++ redistributables (32 and 64 bit versions) with reboot inbetween and continue to receive the same error. I have uploaded two crash reports from your system (as per the notice) and attached herewith (they appear identical) but am providing two to show repeatability.

Steps To Reproduce
  1. Launch Steam (automatically starts on reboot)
  2. Launch DayZ through 'launcher' icon on desktop
  3. Click "Play" on bottom left and it then produces this error

Please try to scan your system for any corrupted data as this might be issue related to your OS.

  • Press the Windows key to open Start and in the search bar type “Command Prompt”.
  • In the search results, right-click on Command Prompt, and select “Run as administrator”.
  • In Command Prompt, type in “sfc /scannow” and hit Enter.
  • Wait for the verification to reach 100%.

In case this does not help, we suggest that you try to reinstall the game and install the provided C++ version.
