Yesterday morning, my game was fine and running smoothly. I logged off and when I returned to play a couple of hours later, whenever I tried to join any server or start up DayZ, my screen would go black and rather tell me that it’s not responding, or it would freeze my whole computer until I held the power button to turn it off and back on again to try again.

Steps To Reproduce
I open my game, and try to join any server. Every time I press play or load, even with a windowed screen, it would show a black screen with a loading symbol as my crosshair. It would eventually become very laggy and freeze my whole computer. Sometimes it would tell me that it’s not responding, and let me close the application.
Additional Information
I w tried to reset my whole computer, uninstall and reinstall, redownload all mods, changing settings of my launcher, joining on multiple things, and many more. I have been on this for almost 5 hours and I can’t find a fix. Hopefully you can help.

Are you running any mods? If so, does uninstalling resolve the issue? And if not, can you try the following?
Open the DayZ launcher
Select PARAMETERS menu
Select ALL PARAMETERS tab
scroll down and check "Bulldozer" parameter
Launch the game
Once launched, close the game
Uncheck bulldozer
Launch the game again without any parameters
