If you have full inventory and try to equip item using number-hotkeys they don't remember their original location and don't take reserved slot inside inventory anymore.
This again brings problem back when you swap items and they don't fit (go inside) inventory space anymore after few swaps.

After last EXP patch (V1.08.153154) looks to be fixed, buggy inventory containers was the problem i guess
