VTOL Showcase Crash -- 0x000000FF -
New, NormalPublic

Game crashes suddenly after reaching the airfield while escorting the friendly Mi-280 (and shortly after destroying the AH-9), but before the friendly Mi-280 lands. Screen freezes and a Windows error message pops up that reads bad_model_info (or something to that effect). Upon acknowledging the error the game closes. The first time this happened it was after I had done most of the showcase, but I managed to reload an autosave from slightly earlier in the showcase and the issue still happened. Have not tried to reproduce it by restarting the mission yet.

Steps To Reproduce

Note: I had made some user saves during the showcase, and reproduced from an auto-save after rendezvousing with the friendly Mi-280.

  1. Launch Showcase VTOL and follow mission directions.
  2. While friendly Mi-280 is landing at the airfield at Lijnhaven, screen freezes and game crashes.

Thank you for the report. Have you tried verifying integrity via steam?

After verifying the integrity of the game cache, the game still crashed at the same point when I reloaded my save. However, when I restarted the entire mission I was able to make it significantly further, but the game crashed in the same way shortly after I took off after dropping Lion 5 off at the First Aid station. The logs for both crashes are below.

Also have same problem. I have reinstalled entierly the game, tried all memory allocation settings and still this mission systematically crashes after a certain amount of time. I'm unable to complete the mission due to this and miss much of the showcase.

Here the log from the mission as I tried to rush it, game crashed just as I was on short final and about to complete "return to base" objective -_-
