Dayz Memory Leak
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

I was playing and crashed to a black screen. After that I tried to reboot the client and now it consumes 100% ram every time it starts and almost is immediately set to Not Responding status in task manager. I have reinstalled 4 times trying to remove the issue including changing the install drive, deleting the folder in documents, unchecking steam cloud sync, starting the client without the launcher, starting the DayzDiag client, starting the client after installing private server mods. I have a video of the leak in task manager available on youtube. https://youtu.be/wEvNqT-pz7Y

I was playing on the private server Faded Sanctuary - Chernarus

Experimental works but regular doesn't. Have since done a system restore to Monday 4/20/2020 as well as reinstalled video driver fresh. Reinstalled steam and Dayz. Also booted in safe mode and still didn't work.

I copied all files from EXP directory to the regular directory except the exe and its working now. Not sure what would cause this, since I freshly reinstalled several times. Maybe the manifest steam was using thought some files were there and wasn't downloading them all correctly or something unsure.

If this problem not reproduced on vanilla official servers, it means that problem with one of mods
