I've been experimenting with this bug and it is super annoying, It mainly occurs with structures that you would really like to land on or at least come in some form of contact with such as military towers, headquarters, some smaller buildings & solar towers. Sometimes helicopters in AFM just randomly explode on casual gentle landings, I've noticed that this happens usually when the aircraft comes in contact with a rock or similar entity. I've recorded a video of what happens with different aircraft in AFM.

After reviewing the footage, it seems that the issues occur mostly to skidded aircraft, when the skids hit the entity its as if they have no collision then when it enters the entity it does have collision so it explodes.

I've noticed similar issues with helicopters and AFM. Aircraft explode when attempting pinnacle. Standard flight model seems ok most of the time.
