fix for the nested inventory exploit needs improvement after v1.05 changes
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

When 1.05 came stable, the nested items inside smersh vests (with buttpacks attached) and plate carriers with puchea worked for the first server login after the update and then dissapear if not emptied on that session.

That said, At 1.05 this week I experienced by accident the persistence of the exploit as i saw the mentioned fix taking away one new vest i assumed (wrongly) was empty.

The bug is that once the empty vest is inside the inventory (not on the vest slot), and there are no slots avaliable on the rest of the inventory, new items grabbed whith the take action go straight to the vest's inner inventory.

If the player did not realize what happened, the vest will not be empty anymore and, because of that, will not be there on the next session due to the automatic "cleaning" of itens found by the server in this condition that reproduces, even by accident the exploit situation.

Steps To Reproduce

1-put a empty smersh vest with attached buttpack on another item's inventory that you are wearing NOT ON THE VEST SLOT.

2-Fill up your inventory slots until there is no place to put anything else using your mouse.

3- look to an item on the ground, see the "take" option and use it pressing F.

If you check your inventory, that last item is inside your smersh vest. (Exploit condition)

4- Get out of the server.

5-Get in and you will be missing your rare vest and watever was inside of it.
