Been trying to run the game for 4 hours yesterday off 6 different computers. DAYZ NOT STARTING
Need More Info, NormalPublic

Description

I was playing with friends yesterday for hours until I logged off for a bit to get food, then I came back updated a small patch I believe and then the game was not working at all. I tried running off 6 really good computers I have here but nothing seemed to fix the issue. I also updated and verified the steam files, nothing seemed to work.

I then jumped on the steam page and looks like I'm not the only one with this issue. Please fix?

Hello theicederp.
What exactly is the issue you are experiencing? Does the game not start up at all upon clean installation? Does the game executable appear in the windows task manager? Is there any error that appears? Also, are you using Steam cloud sync?
Regards,
Geez

There are no errors, I just run the game after installing and it gives me a black screen forever.. it looks like it's loading the game, but it stays forever on a loading black screen.. I try to alt tab sometimes at it says dayz has stopped running. This is my second day trying to connect to dayz. Nothing is working :( all my friends are playing but I seem to have a steam issue I think. I wouldn't know how to fix this. If I were to take a picture of the screen all you would see is a black screen with a loading cursor.

Hello again.
If you try to delete the contents of your C:\Users\*username*\Documents\DayZ folder, then delete appmanifest_221100.acf file from your Steamapps, disable Steam cloud sync in Steam in case it is enabled, verify the game data through Steam and launch the game with -nocharmenu startup parameter. Does that change anything about the behaviour of the issue?
