This was done with an Amphibia and I need to test it with other guns. Unsure how to describe other than events to produce.
Put gun on hotbar
Put magazine on hotbar
Combined gun and magazine in inventory menu
Equipped gun with hotkey
Pressed and held hotkey for magazine
Pop up appears with "Hold F to take"
Held F a d magazine was ejected and out of weapon
From that point forward I was unable to reattach the magazine.

Was unable to check weapon and magazine after a restart to see if they were repaired. Will update repair status next login. Will try to reproduce with other weapons. Read the 1.0.4 patch notes, appears the silly method I tried to use to make reloading quickly will not be done by others with the addition of R. But the item being broken is indeed an issue.
A Reset does not fix the weapon. It is unclear if the mag or the weapon is the broken item, will try to put mag in new weapon or new mag in current weapon to see.
