Air-launched rockets highly inaccurate
New, NormalPublic

Description

No AI seems capable of employing aircraft rockets accurately. I tested with Kajman and Xi'an. The shots are always long by at least a hundred meters, with the Kajman simply firing horizontally as it overflies the target. This is particularly problematic in that the aircraft will not engage heavy armor with their missiles until they have expended their rockets (which can take many runs). So they make a series of ineffective runs and then fire a Scalpel or two, killing the target vehicle. The transition from completely ineffective to completely lethal is very undesirable.

Steps To Reproduce

Set up a single player Zeus mission. Spawn a Slammer. Spawn a Kajman a couple km away and get it airborne. Send the Kajman after the Slammer. The Kajman will fire Skyfires uselessly in multiple rocket runs until expended, then it will switch to Scalpels to kill the Slammer.

Repeat with a Xi'an instead of a Kajman.

Additional Information

My workaround is to replace Skyfires and Scalpels with DAGRs or equivalent. It is a middle ground that delivers ordnance on target without being overpowering. I would very much prefer to be able to use Skyfires (or any other rocket).
