Every time I start dayz I have to re-set every graphical setting. More over, the character displayed is always random and I cannot switch between characters (as if I didn't have any). If I press "Play" I have to manually choose the server, and anytime I restart the game the field "name" is containing the string "WWWWQQQ" for both official servers and community. I have to delete that string everytime to be able to search for servers. There is no "set as default" button anywhere, only "apply". The account I'm running the game with is owner of the Steam folder, the Dayz folder in the document folder is not set as read only.

Yes, the issue persists even if I completely remove the folder "Dayz" in the documents folder, and it has always happened since I've first installed the game. I've also never played dayz before on this pc.

Hey again, it looks like the problem has been fixed, or rather, I've found a workaround the problem. My usual setup is to locate the folder documents folder on a Server in my LAN. This way, dayz can only create SOME of the files required, but not all. Setting the documents folder to be on my pc (C:\Users\Vas0sky\Documents) fixes the issue. This however is not a definitive solution for me and I believe it needs to be fixed since I can find a Dayz folder in my documents folder on the server (\\Vas0sky-Server\Users\Vas0sky\Documents).
