Handheld radio has muffled, very low volume sound when in hand. Asif you have it in your backpack. When dropping the radio on the ground the volume and voices through the radio are perfect. If you stand just outside of talking range with a person the radio won't function at all. You need to be about double the talking range away from a player before the radio works.
