Guys, i found how to fix it. Just write "-profiles=test" without quotes in launch parametres in Steam. Steam -> library -> Arma3 -> Settings -> "Set launch parametres" button.

Why in the morning I could call my folders in Cyrillic, and by the evening I should do it in English?

What does it's mean - "-profiles=test" and what does it do?

The game does not start. When you click to play in the launcher, the game hangs on "loading core config". The game was completely deleted and reinstalled from Steam. What should I do to make the game work?

it's caused by special characters in profile name. We are working on fix. I am sorry for troubles.
"-profiles=test" means that game will launch with profile test, you can use every other word without special characters instead of test.

What do I need to do to start the game? Need to wait for you to fix?

It should be fixed in latest update.

I had this issue this after noon. This morning the game was fine till i fired it back up this afternoon and then it would crash as soon as i press play. please fix

It works when i write "-profiles=test" to launch parameters, but it would be nice if it works without have to type that.

Which revision of exe do you have?
Do you have your Arma 3 profile in c:\Users\ or in another folder?
Could you please try start Launcher as administrator?

It works when i play arma.exe as administrator ,but not when i run launcher as administrator and select a server

It should work as well. Are you sure that you run Arma 3 Launcher as administrator?

Yes i am. I launch it as administrator and then i select server where i want to go and the error pops up.

I don't see anything suspicious in logs.
What happens if you start game via Play button from Launcher which is running as admin?
Do you connect to modded server or vanilla server?
Do you use some parameters?

Could you please try this? It helped for some users with same error:

1. Go to C:\Users\YOUR_USER\AppData\Local

(AppData may be hidden, if so you can find it by entering %APPDATA% in the address bar)

2. Rename the "Arma 3" directory to something else

(example, "Arma 3 - Copy" just to keep it as backup just in case)

3. Now open the launcher and try again. The "Arma 3" directory will be regenerated.

Error came when i started the game via Play button from Launcher which is running as admin. And renaming didnt work. It didnt even regenerate the directory. This is so annoying. Arma 3 is maybe the only game what i like to play and now it doesn't work :(

To me the game works only setting the "-profiles=test" thing.

@MrStregatto same but if you download A3launcher it works without that.

Still nothing here.
My game starts only when I use "-profiles=test" in the starting options.

After more of 2300 hours of gameplay it's pretty sad that there is no solution for me.

EDIT:
Seems that removing the "arma3launcher.exe.config" solves the problem.

@Astaroth you should try and see if having russian letters in your windows username contains problems when moving the cache.ch to the new location, my friend had this problem and in the logs it spammed waiting for cache_lock to be available so he just overwrote it with -profiles=
