Whether by design or an oversight I think this should change. We should be able to repair them using duct tape and other tools just the same as every other item in the game.

I think it's due to it being a hazard protection suit, it can't be repaired by regular means. It's annoying but makes sense. What doesn't make sense is why you would want to wear one when the zombies ruin gear in 3 hits.

You're right. In the real world duct tape would not be an acceptable solution to repair protective suits. But it's a game, and the current damage models for items needs to be reviewed.
I don't know why the developers are intent on making this game as tedious as possible but every time I take a hit from a zombie I've got to open up my sewing kit to repair my shirt. Joy..
Aggro radius, even when crouching, is huge. Zombies take more damage. Their screams attract other zombies. Melee weapons can take anywhere from 2-15 hits to kill a single zombie. The pathfinding is garbage and once they lock onto you they attack and run right past in a giant circle.
God forbid you attract more than a couple. Either all your shit gets ruined or you go unconscious and die. I'm all for making zombies a threat but this is ridiculous.
