It appears that the lighting for the headlamp is bugged. I took the attached screenshot on an official server. It seems the light "floats" several feet above the headlamp and does not point in the proper direction. With the new and improved nighttime and anti-gamma abuse, this was quite a shame to not be able to use the headlamp.
The bug was present with at least two headlamps picked up on two official servers across two play sessions. It was 100% repro.
