AS the title says:
Cannot build gates in bases. impossible to secure base w/loot.
I've built the fence and the only missing part is the metal wire, so I add the metal wire but it's still not possible to upgrade it to a gate.
Been a probem for 3-4 days.

This is intentional (previously there was a bug that you could build gate with hammer). Now you need pliers to build a gate construction part.
