Have a torch in hand and press F5 to lay down. Get back up and the torch is gone, although the fire sprite is still hanging in the air. Searching around the sprite has nothing in vicinity nor can you pick it up by aiming at it and pressing F.

Hello ivar.
The F5 key should not toggle the laying down gesture but surrender instead. Can you please try to remove the contents of your C:\Users\*username*\Documents\DayZ folder and also verify the integrity of game files in Steam and let us know if you are still experiencing this issue?

Removed the contents from Documents and verified game files.
First try to recreate bug:
Pressed F5 with torch in hand: for a second character puts up hands and then immediately lies down. Torch disappears but the sprite for fire and sound stays. Pressing W, A, S and D moves the lying character around on the ground. Press F5 again and character stands up - no torch anywhere, nor the sprite.
Second try to recreate bug:
Pressed F5 with torch in hand: character lies down (without surrender animation before lying). Torch disappears but sound stays. Cannot move with W, A, S and D anymore. Press F5 and character stands up and torch appears in hand.
I tried to record video too but before playing DayZ my OBS (recording software) did an update and now when I try to record DayZ it only records my voice, game sounds and the Main Menu (you can hear character moving, jumping etc) screen for DayZ. Maybe one more ticket is needed. I'll try a restart for PC just in case.

Oh, also this bug (https://feedback.bistudio.com/T133433) might be related to this one? After trying the above stuff my flashlight was acting up again. Will try and reproduce.

In the video, after moving around on the ground and after that pressing F5 to stand up, I tried to take the flashlight from my inventory via hotbar repeatedly - not working. Trying to press TAB to inventory does nothing until I press F5 the second time. So the game plays the lying animation but acts like the surrender one?
And as you can see the flashlight does seem to be related.
