Run/Walk bug on 0.63 build 148873 (actual experimental version)
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

I made a video of evidence of bug:

https://youtu.be/W3Ao3fUeU1Y

Stages descriptions:

00:00 - for some seconds at the beginning of the video, all running fine, walk is walk, run is run (even when crouch)
00:06 - apparently without reason the run animation is ok but the character speed is slowed down
00:41 and 02:08 - two game reboot don't solve the problem: the only difference is that the "run animation" is not shown anymore, left shift ignored
03:15 - apparently without reason the run animation and the character movement speed become inverted: when running goes slowly, when walk goes fast!

Hello Remoz and thank you for the report.
We are aware that such issue can occur, however, we would like to know if there was anything specific you have done prior to the issue starting to occur at the 00:06 mark? (For example, if you have tried to change your stance from crouched to standing up / prone or similar).
Regards,
Geez

Hello Geez!
Negative, i was just walking crouch with left shift pushed (running crouched), i realized something was happened when i've seen the character with the same animation crossing a reduced distance per step, then i've tried to release the left shift key (~ 00.08 time) and after retry to press left shift key at 00.12 time.
If this can help you, i had the same problem yesterday, but no records available, the next time i record for sure... Other thing, but i'm not sure if it's because i passed less time on these servers, in the stress_test version never happened, in experimental two times.

Thanks for your work, guys, if you need more info or some particular test, ask me!

See you!

Hello Remoz.
The issue should no longer occur on the 1.0 version.

Hello Geez,
it's partially solved, the only issue that remains is that in a server with "no stamina" (all stamina consumption parameters = zero) if you are overloaded and run after a jump, the run become crappy and so laggy, like this problem, but it's not the same cause i think..
Many thanks!!
